How CareTap works
A CareTap is a peer-to-peer recognition. One teammate sends another a quick note plus points from their monthly allowance. Optionally tag a company value or attach a celebration gif. Points stack up and can be redeemed for a real reward whenever the recipient is ready.
Each employee receives a fresh allowance of CareTaps every month to give to teammates. The allowance is set by you (100 points/user on Starter, 500 on Pro, custom on Enterprise) and resets on the same day each month. Unused allowance does not roll over.
No. Points an employee receives accumulate and can be redeemed at any time from the full reward catalog. (Only unused giving allowance resets each month — once points are sent, they belong to the recipient.)
Yes. Senders can optionally tag a CareTap with one of your company values or a custom hashtag, so recognition reinforces the behaviors you want to grow.
Yes. CareTap pulls dates from your HRIS and automatically triggers anniversary, birthday, and onboarding milestone celebrations — including team-feed posts and points allocations. No manual tracking required.
Pricing & plans
Total cost includes your CareTap subscription plus the rewards your team redeems. You can manage reward costs with flexible budget limits, per-team allowances, and zero-cost recognition (notes, hashtags, public shoutouts on the feed). Our team will work with you to build a cost-effective recognition strategy that fits your budget and keeps employees engaged.
You pay face value for any reward your team redeems — a $10 Amazon gift card costs you $10. Reward spending is separate from your subscription, so there are no large upfront payments and you never pay for unused funds. You set the monthly point allowance per user, so spend is fully predictable and capped.
No. Pro is $5 per seat per month plus a $99 base fee, full stop. Integrations, Slack & MS Teams, support, and reporting are all included. Rewards are billed separately at face value, with no markup.
Pro and Enterprise plans are billed annually. Starter is free forever, no contract required.
Starter (free) is best for small teams (up to 3 teams, 100 points/user/month) building the habit of recognition. Pro ($5/seat/month + $99 base) is for growing teams ready to scale culture — unlimited seats, 20 teams, 500 points/user/month, plus MS Teams integration and custom branding. Enterprise (custom) is for organizations 1,000+ needing SSO/SAML, dedicated support, API access, and unlimited everything.

Earned points belong to the employee — they can redeem them after departure as long as their account remains active for a defined window. We'll confirm the exact terms in your agreement.
Coverage is strongest in the US. We're expanding international brand availability through PerfectGift.com — Talk to Sales for the current list of supported countries.
Integrations
Yes. Send and receive CareTaps directly in Slack and Microsoft Teams. Bot prompts after key events (project shipped, milestone hit), and threaded recognition posts stay in your channels. No extra logins, no app-switching.
CareTap integrates with major HRIS systems for user provisioning and milestone date sync (for automated anniversaries, birthdays, and onboarding celebrations). SCIM provisioning is included on Enterprise plans.
CareTap is fully responsive and works on any device through your browser. Native iOS and Android apps are on the roadmap — Talk to Sales if mobile is critical to your rollout.
Admin, security & support
Admins see overall participation rates, top-recognized employees, budget utilization, and which company values are getting reinforced most. Pro and Enterprise plans include deeper insights and exportable reports for board-level reviews.
On Pro and Enterprise plans, yes. You can set different point allowances by team, department, or role. Starter uses a fixed 100 points per user per month.
Managers see recognition for their direct reports by default. Visibility settings are configurable so you can tune for the culture you want.
SSO and SAML are available on the Enterprise plan, with support for Microsoft Entra ID, Google Workspace, Okta, and SAML 2.0. CareTap is SOC 2 Type II compliant, uses AES-256 encryption at rest, and follows industry-standard access controls. Full details on the Security page.
All plans include email support. Pro customers get priority support and a dedicated implementation manager. Enterprise customers get a dedicated customer success manager plus 24/7 chat support.
